Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement Bucket

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
2. Remove the cupholder and bracket, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Cup Holder Replacement .
3. Remove the seat back recliner assembly, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Recliner Replacement .



4. Remove the trim plate.



5. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.




Important: Do not damage the seat fabric when removing the velcro retaining cover.

6. Separate the hook and loop strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
7. Disconnect the electrical connections, as needed.
8. Remove the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
9. Remove the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
10. Remove the power lumbar control switch, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
11. Remove the power seat control switch, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
12. Remove the seat back from the seat bottom bolts.



13. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt.
14. Remove the seat belt buckle from the seat.
15. Remove the seat bottom cover.
16. Remove the seat bottom pad.

1. Install the seat bottom pad to the seat bottom.
2. Install the seat bottom cover over the pad.



3. Engage the hook and loop strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
4. Install the seat belt buckle through the slot in the seat.




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

5. Install the seat belt holder bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

6. Install the seat back to seat bottom bolts.
7. Install the power seat control switch, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
8. Install the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
9. Install the power lumbar switch, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
10. Install the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
11. Connect the electrical connections, as needed.
12. Install the seat back recliner assembly, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Recliner Replacement .
13. Install the cupholder and bracket, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Cup Holder Replacement .



14. Engage the J-strips to the seat bottom frame.



15. Install the trim plate.
16. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .

Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement Bench

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Bench Seat Replacement .
2. Remove the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
3. Remove the seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement



4. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.
5. Remove the manual lumbar knob lever, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
6. Remove the seat bottom cover.
7. Remove the seat bottom pad.

1. Install the seat bottom pad to the seat bottom.
2. Install the seat bottom cover over the pad.



3. Engage the J-strips to the seat bottom frame.
4. Install the seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement
5. Install the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
6. Install the manual lumbar knob lever, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
7. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to Bench Seat Replacement .
