Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the recliner handle.
  2. Remove the recliner cover.
  3. Remove the seat cushion cover to expose the recliner assembly mounting bolts. Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat back cover to expose the recliner assembly mounting bolts. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  5. Remove the seat back release cable from the recliner assembly. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 1350222 Size: SH
  6. Remove the seat adjuster cable (3) from the seat adjuster.
  7. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball (1) through the round opening.

    8. Object Number: 1333093 Size: SH
  8. Remove the recliner assembly bolts (1) securing the recliner to the seat cushion frame.

    9. Object Number: 1333670 Size: SH
  9. Remove the recliner assembly bolts (1) securing the recliner to the seat back frame.
  10. Remove the recliner assembly from the seat.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the recliner assembly to the seat.

    2. Object Number: 1333670 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the 2 recliner assembly bolts (1) securing the recliner to the seat back frame.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the recliner assembly bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the 2 recliner assembly bolts (1) securing the recliner to the seat cushion frame.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the recliner assembly bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the cable end to the seat adjuster (2) by inserting the ball (1) through the round opening.
  5. Install the seat adjuster cable (3) to the seat adjuster.
  6. Install the seat back release cable to the recliner assembly. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement .
  7. Install the seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  8. Install the seat cushion cover. Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement .
  9. Install the recliner trim cover to the seat.
  10. Install the recliner handle.
