Inspect each strut or shock absorber. Look for any indication of fluid leaking from the strut or shock absorber.A light film of oil on the top portion of the reservoir is normal.

Is the outside surface of the strut or shock absorber free of an indication of excessive fluid leaking from the strut or shock absorber?

Go to Step 2

Go to Shock Absorber Replacement in Front Suspension or Shock Absorber Replacement in Rear Suspension.

Inspect the vehicle trim height. Refer to Trim Height Inspection .

Is the vehicle trim height correct?

Go to Step 3

Go to Front Coil Springs Replacement in Front Suspension or Leaf Spring Replacement in Rear Suspension.

  1. Use your hands in order to lift up and push down each corner of the vehicle 3 times.
  2. Remove your hands from the vehicle.

Does the vehicle stop bouncing after 2 cycles?

System OK

Go to Shock Absorber Replacement in Front Suspension or Shock Absorber Replacement in Rear Suspension.
