Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  4. Remove the wheel bearings. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement in Front Suspension.

  5. Object Number: 166  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rotor.
  7. Inspect and clean all of the parts. Replace the parts as necessary.
  8. Refinish the rotor if required. Refer to Brake Rotor Refinishing in Disc Brakes.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 166  Size: SH
  1. Install the rotor.
  2. Install the wheel bearings. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement in Front Suspension.
  3. Install the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  5. Remove the safety stands.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Depress the brake pedal.
  8. Burnish the front brake rotors and pads. Refer to Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing in Disc Brakes.
