  1. Disconnect the power door lock control module.
  2. Connect an J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between the power door lock control module connector cavity G for CKT 540 (ORN) and a known good ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector cavity A for the BLK (150) wire and a known good ground.
  2. Test for continunity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Does continuity exist?

--

  1. Ensure that the Side Door is closed.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector cavity F for the WHT/BLK (158) wire and a known good ground.
  3. Test for continunity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Does continuity exist?

  1. Disconnect the side door jamb switch.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector cavity F for the WHT/BLK (158) wire and a known good ground.
  3. Test for continunity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Does continuity exist?

  1. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the power door lock control module connector cavity C for the LT BLU (195) wire and a known good ground.
  2. Lock all doors at any power door lock switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in the BLK (150) wire between the power door lock control module and Splice S206. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 14

Repair the open in the ORN (540) wire between Splice S228 and the power door lock control module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the short to ground in the WHT/BLK (158) wire between the power door lock control module and the side door jamb switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the side door jamb switch. Refer to Door Jamb Switch Replacement in Doors.

Replace the power door lock control module.

Repair the open in the LT BLU (195) wire between splice S241 and the power door lock control module pin C. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
