  1. Disconnect the power door lock control module.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector cavity F for the WHT/BLK (158) wire and a known good ground.
  3. Open the side door.
  4. Test for continunity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the power door lock control module.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 10

  1. Disconnect the side door jamb switch.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the side door jamb switch connector cavity B for the BLK 150 wire and a known good ground.
  3. Test for continunity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the open in the CKT 150 (BLK) wire between the side door jamb switch and ground. Refer to Testing for Continuity and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

  1. Connect a J 36169-A fused jumper wire between B+ and the power door lock control module connector cavity F for the CKT 158 (WHT/BLK) wire.
  2. Connect an J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between the side door jamb switch connector cavity A for the CKT 158 (WHT/BLK) wire and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Replace the side door jamb switch. Refer to Door Jamb Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Locate and repair the open in the CKT 158 (WHT/BLK) wire between the power door lock control module and the side door jamb switch. Refer to Testing for Continuity and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
