Did you review the headlmmp operation and perform the necessary inspections?

1. Turn ON the headlamps.
2. Turn the multifunction switch to the low beam position and then to the high beam position.

Does the headlamp system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Do the high beam headlamps operate correctly?

Go to Step 4

Go to Headlamps Inoperative - High Beams

Test the headlamp high beam supply voltage circuit of the instrument cluster for a high resistance, open or a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the multifunction switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the multifunction switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Standard or Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 7
