Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Properly fill the washer solvent container.
  2. Turn ON the washer.

Did the washer operate?

--

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

  1. Disconnect the washer pump connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the pump connector, terminal A, to terminal B.
  3. Turn ON the washer.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Inspect the washer pump connector for poor connections.

Did you find a poor connection?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the poor connection. Refer to Connector Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

Replace the washer pump. Refer to Washer Pump/Reservoir Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Connect the test lamp from the washer pump connector, terminal A, to ground.
  2. Turn ON the washer.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 350. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

  1. Using the test lamp, backprobe from wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E9, to ground.
  2. Turn ON the washer.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in CKT 228. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

Inspect wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E9, for a poor connection.

Did you find a poor connection?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 12

Replace the wiper switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column.

Is the replacement complete?
