  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Using a scan tool, select Body Control Module and Security Data.
  3. Monitor the Door Key Switch.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

INACTIVE

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Using a scan tool, select Body Control Module and Security Data.
  3. Monitor the Door Key Switch.
  4. Insert the ignition key into the driver's door lock cylinder.
  5. Turn and hold the door lock cylinder to the UNLOCK position.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

Go to Step 6

  1. Insert the ignition key into the passenger door lock cylinder.
  2. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Turn and hold the door lock cylinder to the UNLOCK position.

ACTIVE

  1. Remove the combs from the BCM connector C1 (BRN).
  2. Backprobe CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity B3 with a fused jumper wire to ground.

  1. Insert the ignition key into the passenger door lock cylinder.
  2. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Turn and hold the door lock cylinder to the UNLOCK position.

  1. Disconnect the right door lock cylinder.
  2. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity A and ground.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity A to CKT 1050 (BLK) cavity B of the right door lock cylinder.
  2. Using the scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

  1. Disconnect the left door lock cylinder.
  2. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity D and ground.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity D to CKT 1850 (BLK) cavity B of the left door lock cylinder.
  2. Using the scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.

  1. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  2. Disconnect the BCM connector C3 (PPL).

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

  1. Reconnect the BCM connector C3 (PPL).
  2. Disconnect the left door lock cylinder.
  3. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.

  2. Using a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 262 (LT GRN) between the BCM and either door lock cylinder.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 262 (LT GRN) between the left door lock cylinder and C200.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the left door lock cylinder and G203.

Replace the left door lock cylinder.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 262 (LT GRN) between the BCM and C200.

Replace the right door lock cylinder.

Locate and repair the open CKT 262 (LT GRN) between the right door lock cylinder and C200.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1050 (BLK) between the door lock cylinder and G200.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Program the BCM with the proper calibrations. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.
  3. Perform the Learn Procedure.
