Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1658587 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Reposition the engine harness power lead boot (2) from the intake air heater stud.
  3. Remove the engine harness power lead nut (1) from the intake air heater stud.
  4. Remove the engine harness power lead from the intake air heater stud.

    5. Object Number: 1658644 Size: SH
  5. Loosen the charged air cooler outlet duct clamp (1) at the air intake.
  6. Remove the charged air cooler outlet duct (3) from the air intake.

    7. Object Number: 1658592 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the intake air heater electrical connector.
  8. Remove the air inlet tube bolts/nuts.
  9. Remove the air inlet tube and intake air heater.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1658592 Size: SH
  1. Install the air inlet tube and the intake air heater.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the air inlet tube bolts/nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts/nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install the charged air cooler outlet duct (3) to the air intake.
  4. Tighten the charged air cooler outlet duct clamp (1) at the air intake.

    5. Object Number: 1658587 Size: SH
  5. Install the engine harness power lead to the intake air heater stud.
  6. Install the engine harness power lead nut (1) to the intake air heater stud.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Position the engine harness power lead boot (2) to the intake air heater stud.
  8. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
