Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Pickup
Removal Procedure
- Remove the coat hook. Refer to
Coat Hook Replacement
.
- Remove the seat belt. Refer to
Front Seat Belt Replacement
in Seatbelts.
- Remove the jack cover, the jack, and the jack tray on the right
side. Refer to
Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement
in
Body Rearend.
- Remove the rear window lower garnish molding. Refer to
Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement
.
- Remove the quarter panel trim screws, pickup and extended cab only.
- Remove the rear screws from the sill trim plate, pickup and crew
cab only.
- Remove the quarter trim panel.
Installation Procedure
- Install the quarter trim panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the panel
screws, pickup and crew cab only.
Tighten
Tighten the quarter panel trim screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the rear screws into the sill trim plate.
- Install the rear window lower garnish molding.
- Install the jack tray, the jack, and the cover on the right side.
- Install the seat belt. Refer to
Rear Seat Belt Replacement
in Seatbelts.
- Install the coat hook. Refer to
Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement
.
Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Extended Cab
Removal Procedure
- Remove the coat hook. Refer to

- Remove the rear quarter trim panel (1).

- Install the rear quarter
trim panel (1).

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Utility, Right
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat. Refer to
Rear Seat Belt Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the rear blower motor trim cover.
- Remove the cargo door pillar molding. Refer to
Cargo Net Replacement
in Body Rearend.
- Remove the rear door lock pillar molding.
- Remove the front door lock pillar molding.
- Remove the quarter panel trim screws.
- Remove the quarter panel
trim from the vehicle.
Lift the quarter panel to release the quarter panel from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the quarter panel
trim to the vehicle.

- Install the cargo door pillar molding to the pillar. Refer

- Install the rear blower motor trim cover.
- Install the rear seat.
Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Luxury
Removal Procedure, Right Side
- Remove the retaining screw.
- Remove the trim plate
from the rear floor area.
- Remove the right rear body corner lower garnish molding.
- Remove the rear door sill plate.
- Remove the right rear
door upper seat belt anchor bolts.
- Remove the right rear side door lock pillar garnish molding.
- Remove the right rear
body quarter trim panel (2).
- Remove the electrical connector from the rear power point (1).
- Remove the power point(1) if needed.
Installation Procedure, Right Side
- Install the power point if it was removed.
- Install the electrical
connector to the rear power point (1).
- Install the right rear body quarter trim panel (2) to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or

Tighten

- Install the right rear side door lock pillar garnish molding.
- Install the right rear
door upper seat belt anchor bolts.
- Install the right rear door sill plate.
- Install the right rear body corner lower garnish molding.
- Install the trim plate
to the rear floor area.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat. Refer to

- Remove the spare tire cover.
- Remove the spare tire and the jack. Refer to
Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement
in Body Rearend.
- Remove the spare tire rest trim covers
- Remove the spare tire rest bolts.
- Remove the spare tire rest from the vehicle.
- Remove the spare tire holder from the floor.
- Remove the spare tire I-bolt from the vehicle.
- Remove the armrest. Refer to
Armrest Bracket Replacement
in Doors.
- Remove the cargo door pillar moldings. Refer to
Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the intermediate seat belt to the rear door pillar bolt.
Refer to

in Seatbelts.
- Remove the rear door lock pillar molding. Refer to
Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the rear quarter
panel trim screws.
- Remove the rear quarter panel trim from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear quarter
panel trim to the vehicle.

- Install the intermediate seat belt anchor to the floor bolt. Refer
to
Seat Belt Replacement - Intermediate
in Seatbelts.
- Install the intermediate seat belt to the rear door pillar bolt.
- Install the cargo door pillar trim panels to the pillar. Refer
to
Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Install the armrest. Refer to
Armrest Bracket Replacement
in Doors.
- Install the spare tire I-bolt to the vehicle.
- Install the spare tire holder to the floor.
- Install the spare tire rest to the vehicle.
- Install the spare tire rest bolts.
- Install the spare tire rest covers and the jack. Refer to
Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement
in
Body Rearend.
- Install the spare tire.
- Install the spare tire cover.
- Install the rear seat. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
in Seats.
