Removal Procedure
Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door.
When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move
very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to

- Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to

Notice: To avoid paint damage, protect the area surrounding the part which you
are removing or installing.
- Apply masking tape to the outer reveal.
- Raise the window far enough in order to gain access through the inner door panel to the window guide retainer
clip.
- Push inward on the window guide retainer clip locks, lift upward on the window until released from the retaining clip.
- Raise the window to the full up position and tape in place.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor by pulling up on the tab to release it.
- Remove the bolt from the window regulator motor (3).
- Remove the nuts (2, 4) from the window regulator studs.
- Remove the window regulator and motor through the access opening in the inner door panel.
- Remove the power window motor from the window regulator. Refer to

Installation Procedure
- Install the power window motor to the window regulator. Refer to
Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement
.
- Install the window regulator and motor through the access opening in the inner door panel.
- Install the nuts (2, 4) to the window regulator studs.
- Install the window regulator motor bolts (3).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the window regulator bolt and nuts to the door.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt and nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the power window motor and push in on the tab to lock in place.
- Remove the masking tape.
- Lower the window far enough in order to gain access through the inner panel to the window guide retainer to snap the window into the retainer.
- Inspect the window for proper operation.
- Install the front door water deflector. Refer to

- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to
