Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON ignition, with engine OFF.
  3. Use scan tool to activate inflator switch.

Does the compressor turn on?

Go to Step 4

Test the signal circuit of the air suspension inflator switch for an open, short to ground, short to voltage and high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing , Testing for Short to Ground , Testing for a Short to Voltage , Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step 10

Test the low reference circuit of the air suspension inflator switch for an open, short to ground, short to voltage and high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing , Testing for Short to Ground , Testing for a Short to Voltage , Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step 10

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the air suspension inflator switch.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 10

Replace air suspension inflator switch. Refer to Inflator Air Switch Replacement .

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the air suspension compressor assembly.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 10

Replace air suspension module. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup and programming.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
