Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1412520 Size: SH
  1. Remove the endgate from the vehicle. Refer to Endgate Replacement.
  2. Place the endgate on a protected surface.

    3. Object Number: 1412527 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts retaining the hinge trunnion to the endgate.
  4. Remove the hinge trunnion from the endgate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1412527 Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge trunnion to the endgate.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts retaining the hinge to the endgate.

    3. Tighten

    1. Tighten the lower forward bolt (2) to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the lower rear bolt (1) to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  3. Install the endgate to the vehicle. Refer to Endgate Replacement.
