HVAC Module Assembly Replacement Left Hand Drive

Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  3. Remove the evaporator tube from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Evaporator Tube Replacement.
  4. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement.
  5. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement.
  6. Remove center console. Refer to Console Replacement.
  7. Remove center rear floor air duct. Refer to Rear Floor Air Outlet Replacement.
  8. Remove the instrument panel carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement.
  9. Disconnect the HVAC module assembly electrical connectors.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Tighten the nuts in sequence.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  3. Remove the evaporator tube from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Evaporator Tube Replacement.
  4. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement.
  5. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement.
  6. Remove center console. Refer to Console Replacement.
  7. Remove center rear floor air duct. Refer to Rear Floor Air Outlet Replacement.
  8. Remove the instrument panel carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement.
  9. Disconnect the HVAC module assembly electrical connectors.

Tip
Tighten the nuts in sequence.

Tighten
