Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1758472 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Disconnect the rear window defogger electrical connector.

    4. Warning: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning in the Preface section.

  4. Remove the liftgate upper garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement.
  5. Remove the liftgate window strut. Refer to Liftgate Window Replacement.
  6. With the aid of an assistant, remove the bolts and liftgate glass from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1758477 Size: SH
  1. Install the liftgate glass with the bolts and tighten to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
  2. Install the liftgate window strut. Refer to Liftgate Window Replacement.
  3. Install the liftgate window upper garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement.

  4. Connect the rear window defogger electrical connector.
  5. Close the liftgate.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
