Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the reservoir.

  2. Object Number: 1253681  Size: SH

    Important: Cap the hoses in order to prevent dirt from entering the system.

  3. Remove the hoses (1, 2) from the power steering reservoir.
  4. Important: Leave the hoses connected to the surge tank when removing and place to the side when removing the power steering reservoir bracket assembly.

  5. Remove the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 927133  Size: SH
  7. Remove power steering reservoir bracket bolts and nuts.
  8. Remove the power steering reservoir assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 927133  Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering reservoir assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the power steering reservoir bracket bolts and nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Connect the hoses (1, 2) to the power steering reservoir.
  6. Install the hose clamps.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 5 N·m (45 lb in).

  8. Install the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  9. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
