  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Check the battery voltage with a voltmeter.
  3. Compare the instrument cluster voltmeter indication to the tested voltage.

Is the IP voltmeter approximately the same as battery voltage?

Connect a test lamp between the instrument panel cluster connector C3 terminal 14 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Connect a test lamp between the instrument panel cluster connector C3 terminal 13 and 14.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Connect a test lamp between connector C212 terminal F12 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 21 (BRN), CKT 26 (BRN) between connector C212 terminal F12 and the instrument panel cluster.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Repair the open in CKT 371 (BRN), between connector C212 terminal F12 and the IP Fuse Block.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Repair the open in CKT 27 (BLK), between the instrument panel cluster and splice pack 3.

Is the repair complete?
