Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector.
  3. Remove the front run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 214708  Size: SH

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  6. Remove the bolts from the window.
  7. Remove the window from the window regulator on the left side.

  8. Object Number: 214706  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolts from the window.
  10. Remove the window from the window regulator on the right side.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 214708  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the window to the window regulator on the left side.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (79 lb in).

  3. Install the window, with the bolts, to the window regulator on the right side.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (79 lb in).

  5. Install the rear run channel with the bolts. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (79 lb in).

  7. Install the front run channel with the bolts. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (79 lb in).

  9. Install the water deflector.
  10. Install the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
