Makes 🢒 Isuzu 🢒 1999 🢒 S/T Isuzu - 4WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.2L 🢒 Cylinder Head Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  3. Remove the accessory mounting bracket. Refer to Accessory Mounting Brackets Replacement .
  4. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement .
  5. Remove the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement .
  6. Remove the valve rocker arms and push rods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  7. Disconnect the fuel pipes from the fuel rails. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.

    8. Object Number: 183438 Size: SH

    Important: The intake manifold can remain on the cylinder head. Refer to Intake Manifold Removal if intake manifold removal is required.

  8. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Removal .
  9. Clean all sealing surfaces. Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 183438 Size: SH
  1. Refer to Intake Manifold Installation if the intake manifold was removed.
  2. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Installation .
  3. Connect the fuel pipes to the fuel rails. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  4. Install the valve rocker arms and push rods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  5. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement .
  6. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement .
  7. Install the accessory mounting bracket. Refer to Accessory Mounting Brackets Replacement .
  8. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
