Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable from the hood primary and secondary latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 330152  Size: SH
  4. Remove the hood primary and secondary latch bolts.
  5. Remove the hood primary and secondary latch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 330152  Size: SH
  1. Install the hood primary and secondary latch.
  2. Install the hood primary and secondary latch bolts.
  3. Hand-tighten the primary and secondary latch bolts with the latch in the full up position.
  4. Install the hood primary latch release cable to the hood primary latch and the hood secondary latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement .
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Gently close the hood and press down until the hood is flush with the fenders.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the primary and secondary latch bolts to 10 N·m (97 lb in).

  8. Inspect the alignment of the hood primary latch and the hood secondary latch. Adjust as necessary.
