Removal Procedure
- Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
- Pull back the front seat cushion cover and cushion in order to access the seat back recliner cable. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
- Remove the bolt from the seat back recliner cable bracket.
- Disconnect the cable from the front seat recliner mechanisms, by rotating the cable downward approximately 90 degrees.
- Remove the seat back recliner cable from the front seat frame.
- Remove the seat back recliner cable from the front seat.
Installation Procedure
- Position the seat back recliner cable to the front seat frame.
- Connect the cable to the front seat recliner mechanisms, by rotating the cable downward approximately 90 degrees.
- Install the seat back recliner cable to the front seat frame.
- Install the bolt to the seat back recliner cable bracket.
- Pull back the front seat cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
- Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Adjust the seat back recliner cable bracket to remove any slack in the cable.
Tighten
Tighten seat back recliner cable bracket bolt to 3 N·m(27 lb in).
