Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left and the right rear tail lamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  2. Remove the fascia retaining nuts from the inside rear compartment.

    3. Object Number: 330843 Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining bolts from the rear fascia on the rear wheel housing.

    4. Object Number: 330835 Size: SH
  4. Remove the push-in retainers from the top edge of the fascia.
  5. Remove the push-in retainers from the lower edge of the fascia.
  6. Remove the rear fascia from the impact bar.

    7. Object Number: 277204 Size: SH
  7. Remove the side reinforcement screws (2) from each side of the fascia (4).

    8. Object Number: 277209 Size: SH
  8. Drill out the rivets. Remove the reinforcements (1), if necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 277209 Size: SH
  1. Install the side reinforcements (1) to the fascia (4).
  2. Install the side reinforcement screws (2) to the fascia (4).

    3. Tighten the screws until the screws are fully driven and seated. Do not strip the screws.

  3. Install the rear fascia (3) to the impact bar (1).

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the fascia retaining nuts inside the rear compartment (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the bolts to the rear fascia on the rear wheel housing.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  6. Install the push-in retainers to the lower edge of the fascia.
  7. Install the push-in retainers to the top edge of the fascia.
  8. Install the left and the right rear tail lamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
