J 41239-10 Cooler Line Seal Remover

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle . Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the transmission oil cooler pipes from the transmission. Refer to Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 643345  Size: SH
  4. Remove the cooler pipe bracket stud.

  5. Object Number: 643333  Size: SH
  6. Remove the oil cooler pipe seals.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 643327  Size: SH
  1. Install the J 41239-1A on the transmission case using cooler pipe bracket stud hole.

  2. Object Number: 104417  Size: SH
  3. Install a new seal in the case bore.
  4. Press the new seals in. Tighten the J 41239-1A until the seal bottoms out in the case bore.

  5. Object Number: 643345  Size: SH
  6. Install the cooler pipe bracket stud.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the transmission oil cooler pipes.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler lines to 8 N·m (71 lb in)

  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
  12. Operate the engine for 2 or 3 minutes.
  13. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
