Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan and the gasket. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement

  2. Object Number: 14464  Size: SH
  3. Remove the accumulator cover bolts.
  4. Remove the 1-2 accumulator cover

  5. Object Number: 14467  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 1-2 accumulator piston.
  7. Remove the piston spring.

  8. Object Number: 7746  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the component electrical connectors.

  10. Object Number: 13876  Size: SH
  11. Remove the pressure control solenoid retainer bolt.

  12. Object Number: 13880  Size: SH
  13. Remove the pressure control solenoid retainer and the pressure control solenoid.

  14. Object Number: 13884  Size: SH
  15. Remove the shift solenoid retainers.

  16. Object Number: 13364  Size: SH
  17. Remove the shift solenoids.

  18. Object Number: 13365  Size: SH
  19. Remove the 3-2 control solenoid retainer.

  20. Object Number: 13886  Size: SH
  21. Remove the 3-2 control solenoid.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 13886  Size: SH
  1. Install the 3-2 control solenoid.

  2. Object Number: 13365  Size: SH
  3. Install the 3-2 control solenoid retainer.

  4. Object Number: 13364  Size: SH
  5. Install the shift solenoids.

  6. Object Number: 13884  Size: SH
  7. Install the shift solenoid retainers.

  8. Object Number: 13883  Size: SH
  9. Install the pressure control solenoid. Ensure that the electrical tabs are facing outboard.

  10. Object Number: 13880  Size: SH
  11. Install the pressure control solenoid retainer.

  12. Object Number: 13876  Size: SH
  13. Install the pressure control solenoid retainer bolt.

  14. Object Number: 7746  Size: SH
  15. Install the component electrical connectors.

  16. Object Number: 14467  Size: SH
  17. Install the 1-2 accumulator piston to the accumulator cover. Ensure that the piston legs face toward the case.
  18. Install the 1-2 accumulator spring onto the piston.

  19. Object Number: 14464  Size: SH
  20. Install the 1-2 accumulator cover and the bolts.
  21. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in.).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  22. Install the oil pan and the gasket. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement
