Was the Body Control Module (BCM) Diagnostic System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the driver's side door lock actuator motor electrical connector.
  2. Using a test light, connect between the driver's side door lock actuator motor harness connector terminals A and B.
  3. While observing the test light press momentarily unlock on either door lock switch.

Upon pressing unlock on door lock switch, does the test light flash once?

Using a test light, connect between B+ and the driver's side door lock actuator motor harness connector terminal B.

Is the test light on?

--

Go to Step 4

Using a test light, connect between B+ and the driver's side door lock actuator motor harness connector terminal A.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 5

Using a test light, connect by backprobing between the door lock relay harness connector A2 and ground.

Is the test light on?

--

Using a test light, connect between B+ and the door lock relay terminal B2.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 7

  1. Disconnect the door lock relay.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the door lock relay terminals B2 and C1 (relay side).
  3. Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2ohms

Go to Step 13

Replace the driver's side door lock actuator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement in Doors for service procedure.

Is the repair complete?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 295.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the door lock relay.

Is the repair complete?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1540.

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1450.

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Reinstall connectors/components removed.
  3. Check for BCM current DTCs. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Displaying in Body Control System for procedure.
