Important: In order to avoid misdiagnosis, set the J 39200 to zero before you take any measurements.

1. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor connector.
2. Using a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM), measure the resistance across the ambient air temperature sensor terminals at two different temperatures.
3. Compare these readings to those in the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Resistance table.

Are the resistance readings within specifications?
