Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
3. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe from turbo. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement.
4. Remove the turbocharger oil feed pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Replacement.
5. Remove the turbocharger oil return pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Replacement.

Turbocharger Fastener (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Procedure

1. Discard the hose from wastegate actuator.
2. Discard the connector from wastegate actuator.
3. Discard and install a NEW turbocharger gasket prior to installation of the turbocharger.
