Preliminary Procedures

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core tube. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement.
3. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core tube. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement.
4. Remove the evaporator hose assembly from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement.
5. Remove the plenum water deflector. Refer to Plenum Water Deflector Replacement.
6. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement.
7. Remove the instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement.

Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Assembly

Procedure

With the aid of an assistant, remove the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module from the vehicle.
