Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the power vacuum brake booster. Refer to Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement.
  2. Remove the clutch master cylinder. Refer to Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement.
  3. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.

Pedal Assembly Fastener (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
22 N·m(16 lb ft)

Pedal Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  2. Roll back the insulation and carpet to remove the pedal assembly if necessary.
  3. Install the NEW click fit connector on the brake pedal arm, in any case that the connection brake pedal to booster pushrod is disconnected.
