Load Leveler System Check

Turn the ignition to RUN or ACC.

Important: The following results may be different if weight has been added to or removed from the vehicle.

After approximately 35-55 seconds, the air compressor runs for 3-5 seconds, then stops (air replenishment cycle).

    • The compressor does not run. Refer to Automatic Level Control Compressor Motor Does Not Activate .
    • The compressor motor runs, then stops (performs the air replenishment cycle) approximately every minute. Refer to Automatic Level Control Compressor Motor Runs, then Stops .

Add approximately 181 kg (400 lb) to the rear of the vehicle.

  1. During (or 17-27 seconds after) the loading of the vehicle, the system exhausts for 1 second, then the compressor motor turns on.
  2. Within 1 minute, the rear of the vehicle rises in order to level the vehicle.
  3. The compressor turns off.
    • The compressor does not run. Refer to Automatic Level Control Compressor Motor Inoperative .
    • The compressor runs but the vehicle rear does not rise in order to level the vehicle within 1 minute. Refer to Automatic Level Control System Does Not Raise Vehicle .

Remove the weight from the rear of the vehicle.

  1. During (or 17-27 seconds after) the unloading of the vehicle, the system exhausts.
  2. The rear of the vehicle lowers the vehicle.
  3. The ALC system retains a minimum pressure of 55-97 kpa (8-14 psi).

The ALC system does not exhaust. The rear of the vehicle does not lower. Refer to Automatic Level Control System Does Not Vent to Lower Vehicle .

Inflator System Check

  1. Turn the ignition to RUN or ACC.
  2. Press the inflator ON button.
  1. The compressor runs.
  2. After 10 minutes, the compressor stops.

    • The compressor runs but does not turn off. Refer to Automatic Level Control Compressor Motor Always On .

Press the inflator off button.

The compressor stops.

The compressor does not stop. Refer to Automatic Level Control Compressor Motor Always On .

Press the inflator valve core.

During compressor operation, approximately 483 kpa (70 psi) of air pressure is available at the inflator valve.

No or low air pressure is available at the inflator valve. Refer to Automatic Level Control Inflator Fill Valve Inoperative .
