Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2002 🢒 Aztek - FWD 🢒 Restraints 🢒 SIR 🢒 Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 312359 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System .
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module . Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
  4. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column .
  5. Disconnect the yellow connector located at the base of the steering column.
  6. Remove the wiring harness straps from the steering wheel column wiring harness.
  7. Remove the retaining ring.
  8. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1) from the steering column (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 312359 Size: SH
  1. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1) to the steering column (2).
  2. Install the retaining ring.
  3. Route the lower coil wiring harness along steering column and install the necessary wiring harness straps.
  4. Connect the yellow connector located at the base of the steering column.
  5. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column .
  6. Install the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
  7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
  8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
