Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 522080  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement .
  2. Remove the fasteners securing the door to the IP.
  3. Remove the fasteners securing the insulator panel to the door.
  4. Remove the door handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement .
  5. Remove the latch. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 663068  Size: SH
  1. Install the latch (3) to the door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .
  2. Install the door handle (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 662318  Size: SH
  4. Install the door insulator panel to the door.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the door insulator panel fasteners.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the fasteners securing the door to the instrument panel (IP) and adjust.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the IP storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement .
