Removal Procedure
Tools Required
J 41099 Solenoid
Socket
- Raise and suitably support
the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the reverse lockout
solenoid (2).
- Place a drain pan under the transmission in case any fluid drips
out.
- Remove the reverse lockout
solenoid using J 41099
.
- Remove the reverse lockout assembly bolt.
- Remove the reverse lockout assembly, if necessary.
Installation Procedure
Tools Required
J 41099 Solenoid
Socket
- Install the reverse lockout
assembly, if necessary.
- Install the reverse lockout assembly bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the reverse lockout assembly bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Install the reverse lockout solenoid using the J 41099
.
Tighten
Tighten the reverse lockout solenoid to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
- Remove the drain pan.
- Connect the electrical
connector (1) to the reverse lockout solenoid (2).
- Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Level Inspection
.
- Lower the vehicle.
