Drive Belt Replacement Accessory

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 208553  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the mass airflow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 208569  Size: SH
  4. Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body and the air cleaner box.

  5. Object Number: 220580  Size: SH
  6. Position a hex-head socket on the belt tensioner (1) bolt.
  7. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve the tension on the drive belt.
  8. Remove the drive belt from the tensioner and pulleys.
  9. Clean and inspect the belt surfaces of all the pulleys.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 220580  Size: SH
  1. Route the drive belt around the pulleys.
  2. Position a hex-head socket on the belt tensioner (1) bolt.
  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve the tension.
  4. Install the drive belt onto the drive belt tensioner.
  5. Inspect the drive belt to ensure that the belt is properly aligned into the grooves of the pulleys.

  7. Install the air intake duct to the throttle body and the air cleaner box.

  8. Object Number: 208553  Size: SH
  9. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  10. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.

Drive Belt Replacement A/C

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 220583  Size: SH
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  2. Position a hex-head socket on the belt tensioner (1) bolt.
  3. Rotate the air conditioning (A/C) drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve the tension on the drive belt.
  4. Remove the A/C drive belt from the crankshaft balancer and A/C compressor.
  5. Clean and inspect the A/C belt surfaces of the balancer and compressor pulley.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 220583  Size: SH
  1. Route the A/C belt over the crankshaft balancer.
  2. Rotate the A/C belt tensioner (1) clockwise to relieve the tension.
  3. Install the drive belt between the idler and the tensioner (1) and over the compressor pulley.
  4. Inspect the drive belt to ensure that the belt is properly aligned on all the pulleys.
  5. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
