• | Twist the spark plug wire boot 1/2 turn. |
• | Pull only on the boot in order to remove the wire from the ignition coil. |
Separate the AIR pump hose, if necessary.

Important:
• All gasket surfaces should be free of oil and other foreign material
during assembly. • DO NOT reuse the valve rocker arm cover gasket. • The valve rocker arm cover bolt grommets may be reused. • If the PCV valve grommet has been removed from the rocker arm, install
a NEW grommet during assembly.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the ignition coil bracket studs to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the AIR pipe bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the AIR switch valve bracket bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the AIR switch valve bracket nut to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
Connect the AIR pump hoses together, if necessary.
