Removal Procedure
- Remove the right front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
- Release the park brake.
- Pull the park brake lever boot (1) to the side.
- Remove the adjustment nut from the front park brake cable (2).
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to pry the clip (3) that retains the park brake warning lamp switch harness to the transmission tunnel.
- Remove the trim plate from the console. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .
- Disconnect the park brake warning lamp switch connector (1).
- Remove the 2 bolts that retain the park brake lever assembly to the transmission tunnel.
- Lift the park brake lever assembly up.
- Remove the park brake lever assembly from the front park brake cable.
Installation Procedure
- Thread the front park brake cable through the park brake lever assembly.
- Install the park brake lever assembly and the 2 bolts (2,3).
- Connect the park brake warning lamp switch connector (1).
- Install the trim plate to the console. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .
- Install the clip that retains the park brake warning lamp switch harness to the transmission tunnel.
- Install the adjustment nut and adjust the park brake lever travel. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
- Install the right front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the 2 bolts to 50 N·m
(37 lb ft).
