Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the console trim panel from the console. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Object Number: 1370962 Size: SH
  2. Using a screwdriver, remove the shift control lever boot (2).

    3. Object Number: 1370967 Size: SH
  3. Carefully lift the shift control boot to gain access to the shift lever shaft screws.
  4. Remove the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).
  5. Remove the shift control lever assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1370967 Size: SH
  1. Position the shift control lever assembly (1) in the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the shift control bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Carefully snap the shift control lever boot into place.
  4. Install the console trim panel on the console. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
