Did you perform the Interior Lamps Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the multi-function alarm module connector.
  2. Open the suspect front door.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the appropriate points:
  4. • Left door: connector C1 terminal H and connector C2 terminal D
    • Right door: connector C1 terminal G and connector C2 terminal D

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

  1. Leave the test lamp connected.
  2. Close the suspect front door.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

Test the following CKTs for an open:

    • (Left door) CKT 394 and CKT 150
    • (Right door) CKT 395 and CKT 250

Are all of the CKTs OK?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 10

Test the following CKTs for an open:

    • (Left door) CKT 394
    • (Right door) CKT 395

Are all of the CKTs OK?

Go to Step 6

Replace the suspect door handle switch. Refer to Outside Handle and Lock Cylinder Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Use a DMM to measure the resistance between connector C2 terminal G and connector C2 terminal F

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

10 ohms

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Replace the multifunction alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Inspect CKT 156 and CKT 1732 for an open. Repair if necessary.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Repair the faulty CKT. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
