Front Fog Lamp Replacement Buick/Pontiac

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 522360  Size: SH
  1. Partially remove the lower splash on the left side of the vehicle in order to gain access to the fog lamp.
  2. Remove the nuts (3) that retain the fog lamp (5).
  3. Remove the fog lamp (5) from the impact bar (2).
  4. Disconnect the fog lamp connector.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the fog lamp connector.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the foglamp (5) to the impact bar.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Reinstall the lower splash shield on the left side of the vehicle.
  6. Aim the fog lamps. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .

Removal Procedure

  1. Partially remove the lower splash on the left side of the vehicle in order to gain access to the fog lamp.
  2. Remove the nuts (4) that retain the fog lamp (6).
  3. Remove the fog lamp (6) from the impact bar.
  4. Disconnect the fog lamp connector.
