Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 280687 Size: MH
  1. Fully close the sunroof.
  2. Remove the sunroof module. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the sunroof motor (7). Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
  4. Remove the sunroof cable wear plate rivet.
  5. Remove the sunroof cable wear plate (13).
  6. Remove the sunroof track screws.
  7. Using a flat blade tool remove the sunroof drive tube retainer (9).
  8. Remove the sunroof track and the drive cable assembly (10).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sunroof track and the drive cable assembly (10).
  2. Install the sunroof drive tube retainer (9).

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunroof track screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof track screw to fully driven, seated, and not stripped.

  4. Install the cable wear plate (13).
  5. Install the sunroof wear plate rivet.
  6. Install the sunroof motor. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
  7. Install the sunroof module. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
