Inspect the filament of the sunshade illuminated mirror lamps bulbs.

Are any bulb filaments open?

  1. Remove the sunshade from the headliner. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position.
  3. Use a test light in order to connect between the sunshade illuminated mirror harness connector terminal A and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Use a test light in order to connect between the sunshade illuminated mirror harness connector terminals A and B.

Does the test light illuminate?

Replace the sunshade illuminated mirror lamp bulbs.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 1393.

Is the repair complete?

    • Inspect the sunshade illuminated mirror connector terminal and the bulb terminals for a poor connection.
    • If the connection is OK, than replace the sunshade. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.

Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 350.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Reinstall the connectors and components that were removed.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  5. Remove the MALL PGM fuse.
  6. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position. (The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type installed on the vehicle.)
  7. Within one second, turn the ignition switch from the ACC position, to the OFF position, then back to the ACC position. (The BCM sounds any DTCs stored.)
