This programming and setup is used for the one connector Sunroof System that uses the combination sunroof motor/actuator.
The sunroof motor/actuator uses sensor inputs to continuously monitor the location of the glass panel and to establish soft stop locations several millimeters ahead of the hard stops (physical limits) of the glass panel. The sunroof motor/actuator includes the sunroof motor, actuator, sensors and the control module. These components are not serviced individually.
If the sunroof motor/actuator is replaced, the initialization procedure must be performed in the following order:
The programming procedure is not complete if one of the following actions occurs before the procedure is complete:
• | The sunroof switch is not held in the CLOSE position. |
• | The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position. |
• | Battery positive voltage is removed. |
• | The glass panel did not reach the fully closed position. |
This component is not re-programmable.
If battery positive voltage or ground is removed and re-installed from the sunroof motor/actuator, the following procedure must be performed in the following order:
The re-initialization procedure is not complete if one of the following actions occur before the procedure is complete:
• | The sunroof switch is not held in the CLOSE position. |
• | The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position. |
• | Battery positive voltage is removed. |
• | The glass panel did not reach the fully closed position. |
This programming and setup is used for the 2 connector Sunroof System that uses the sunroof control module.
If the sunroof control module is replaced, the sunroof track timing synchronization must be performed. Refer to Sunroof Track Timing/Synchronization .
This component is not re-programmable.
If the sunroof control module requires re-initialization, refer to Sunroof Track Timing/Synchronization .
