Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 288289 Size: MH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement .
  3. Remove the screws (1) from the trim plate (3).
  4. Gently pry the trim plate (3) from the instrument panel, only near the retaining clips.

    5. Object Number: 288291 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the instrument panel lamp dimmer.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 288291 Size: SH
  1. Connect the instrument panel lamp electrical connector (3).
  2. Align the trim plate tabs to the retainers around the HVAC control and the radio.

    3. Object Number: 288289 Size: MH
  3. Install the screws (1) to the trim plate (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement .
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
