Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the radiator air baffle from the front impact bar. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement in Bumpers.
  2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch Cover Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 282261 Size: MH
  3. Remove the lower bolts (2) from the lower hood latch support.
  4. Remove the upper bolts (4) from the hood latch support.
  5. Remove the hood latch support (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 282261 Size: MH
  1. Install the hood latch support (3).

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the lower bolts (4) to the hood latch support.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts (2) to the lower hood latch support.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 27 N·m (20 lb in).

  4. Install the hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch Cover Replacement .
  5. Install the radiator air baffle to the front impact bar. Refer to Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement in Bumpers.
