Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 279045 Size: LH
  1. Raise the window to the full UP position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the door water deflector in order to access the door handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the lower window channel retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Window Rear Channel Replacement .
  5. Use a small flat-bladed screwdriver in order to remove the outside handle rod (2) from the door lock assembly.
  6. Remove the outside handle rod (2) from the outside handle (1).
  7. Remove the outside handle rod (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 279045 Size: LH
  1. Install the outside handle rod (2) to the outside handle (1).
  2. Position the outside handle in the closed position.
  3. Clip the outside handle rod (2) to the door lock assembly.
  4. Install the lower window channel retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Window Rear Channel Replacement .
  5. Install the door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
