This step makes sure that none of the DTCs listed are present which would affect cruise control operation.
This step places the cruise control module in a functional test mode to allow testing of the; Cruise control switch circuit, brake switch circuit, the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) circuit, PNP switch circuit, if equipped, and the cruise release switch circuit, if equipped.
This step checks the vehicle speed circuit (VSS).
