DTC Descriptor
DTC C2191: Vehicle Speed Signal PerformanceCircuit/System Description
The tire pressure control module receives a vehicle speed signal from the IPC.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The ignition is ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
Vehicle speed signal circuit malfunction.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The Tire Pressure Warning Light is illuminated.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
Vehicle speed is greater than 12 mph for 3 seconds.

Circuit/System Testing
- Disconnect the harness connector at the Tire Pressure Control Module.
- Disconnect the harness connector at the IPC.
- Test for less than 1 ohm of resistance between the vehicle speed signal circuit terminal 2 and terminal 17.
- Test for infinite resistance between the vehicle speed signal circuit terminal 2 and ground.
| ⇒ | If greater than the specified value, test the vehicle speed signal circuit for an open/high resistance. |
| ⇒ | If not the specified value, test vehicle speed signal circuit for a short to ground, if circuit tests normal replace the tire pressure control module. |
