KM-422 Installer

1. Remove the camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets. Refer to Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement and Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket with Actuator Replacement.




Note: Extremely take care of contacting of camshaft surface. If damaged on the camshaft surface, engine oil could be leaked.

2. Remove the camshaft seal ring (1).

Note: Do not reuse the camshaft seal ring.

1. Install the camshaft seal ring (1) with new one.



2. Install the KM-422 installer  (3) with shims (2), with a total thickness of approximately 10 mm and tighten the camshaft bolt (1) manually.
3. Remove the KM-422 installer .
4. Install the camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets. Refer to Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement and Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket with Actuator Replacement.
