Preliminary Procedure

Remove the appropriate front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement .

Hood Hinge Upper Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution:  When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Prop and support the hood.
2. Mark the location of the hinge to the hood with a grease pencil to aid in alignment.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)
